About Us
- DMS & Company is a firm of Property Tax Consultants that specialize
in the representing of oil and gas properties throughout the United States,
with an emphasis in Texas.
- Established in early 1988, our staff has a combined tenure of over
50 years experience in the Ad Valorem Tax field. Our company represents
over 5,000 oil & gas properties across the United States.
- Dan Sheppard, the President and Founder of our company,
has more than 25 years experience in representing producing properties
as well as all types of income producing properties. He holds
graduate and post graduate degrees from Abilene Christian University.
Dan holds the distinguished Registered Senior Tax Consultant
designation. He is also registered with the Texas Department of
Licensing and Regulation.
- Scott Sheppard, joined DMS & Company in 1991 and,
after spending a few years in the ministry field, has rejoined our
company. Scott has an undergraduate degree from Tarleton
State University. Scott is a Registerd Tax Consultant with the
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Craig Patteson, joined DMS & Company in 2001
after obtaining his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Craig is a Registerd
Tax Consultant with the Texas Department of Licensing and
Regulation.
- Our consultants are complimented by an administrative support staff
who are experienced in the Ad Valorem tax field.
- Although we specialize in mineral properties, we represent many
other types of properties as well, such as office buildings,
gas processing plants, and pipelines.
